Papercourt Sailing Club’s Solo open took place on Sunday 18th October, with a Northerly forecast of up to 20mph. The fleet consisted of 19 Solos and included 10 visitors.

Filipe Silva from Portugal has won his second Finn European Masters after one final race at Los Alcazares, Mar Menor, Spain, on Friday. He took second in the race behind Eric Bakker, from The Netherlands to secure overall victory by 20 points.

The penultimate event of the North Sails Northern Paddle Series was sailed at Winsford Flash Sailing Club (WFSC) in very trying conditions, with a wind of around 17 knots and gusting to 30 knots coming straight down the Flash from north to south.

Saturday 17th October and 11 Merlin Rockets headed to Cookham Reach Sailing Club for the first time since 2018 for the combined Rowsell Sails Thames Series, Craftinsure Vintage Series and Classic Series event.
