Carthago is adding a new parallel settee layout to its C2 Tourer range for the 2027 season, while it fully upgrades its chic e-line, chic s-plus and liner for two ranges with options that include a dishwasher.
The new A-class C2 Tourer I 146 FF-RB-LE is 7.3m long and is a motorhome with fixed single beds at the back. It is available as a lightweight model with an MTPLM of 3500kg or as a comfort version with a higher MTPLM of 4200kg and thus more payload.
Although most C2 Tourers can be made available on either a Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter base vehicle, the face-to-face layout is one of the few that will be available on a Sprinter only.
Both facing settees can be made into travel seats, but to make most use of the extra space the layout creates in the middle of the ‘van, Carthago, which is known for making some of the best luxury motorhomes, has switched the alignment of the side kitchen so that the transverse section now comes at the back, next to the transverse washroom, rather than at the front. The new model also borrows the bathroom and rear bedroom design from the existing I 147 RB-LE K layout, only with a modified basin to create more space in the washroom.
C1 and C2 Tourer models this season come with a choice of interior styles: the existing “Nuovo” style, featuring a brilliant ash furniture finish with high gloss ivory locker doors, or a new for 2027 “Imperia” look, still with some ash furniture finish but with matt white locker doors and a wood effect table top. All C1 and C2 Tourers now come with a digital onboard management system with 7-inch touchscreen as standard. This can be operated remotely via an app.
The new chic e-line, s-plus and liner for two models, meanwhile, come with a new rear panel with full LED lights and a dual bridge light.
For those who like their motorhome upgrades, as an option you can go for the Black Edition package, which gets you a glossy black radiator grille, headlight moulding, fog light trims and exterior decals, although the side skirts and rear bumpers are still white.
Inside, Carthago has redesigned the front lounge layout so that the “L” part of the settee that contains the travel seats is shorter and the opposite side settee has less depth, to allow for more space to move in the middle. There is also a pull-out TV lounger you can use to make viewing more comfortable.
Kitchens now come with an illuminated bar cabinet and with central locking as standard. Options include a Fischer & Paykel dishwasher and a hybrid induction and double gas hob. Washrooms get new improved shower walls, corner shelves, and an illuminated shower panel, and a black shower tray.
There are two style ranges available across all three ranges. “Amalfi” features a walnut furniture finish with handle-free overhead locker doors with a bicolour appearance in matt Jura White and a dining table with a grey stone look. In contrast, “Cortina” has matt Jura white locker doors with slate grey contrasts and wood effect worktops.
Finally, Carthago is extending the new “V-face” front panel design it introduced last season on all Mercedes-based chic c-line models to include Fiat-based models as well. There’s also an optional self-sufficiency package for chic c-line models that includes two 150Ah lithium batteries, a 70-amp charge booster and a combined 2000W inverter and 80-amp charger.
Another brand to be sharing information about its 2027 releases is Laika, which is moving its Kreos range onto a Mercedes Sprinter for 2027.
While the exact models that will be on display are still to be confirmed, one place visitors can expect to see the latest releases from major manufacturers will be the October NEC show.
