The best motorhome sites in Northern Ireland will allow you to explore an area that is uncrowded and packed with dramatic scenery.
When you’re planning which of the best motorhome sites in the UK to pitch up at, having plenty to do in the surrounding area is likely to be a criteria, and that’s something that Northern Ireland has in abundance.
Follow the coast to Torr Head, where narrow lanes reward you with sweeping views over to Scotland and a real sense of remoteness. In the Glens of Antrim, Glenariff Forest Park offers peaceful waterfalls and well-marked walks. Inland, Roe Valley Country Park near Limavady combines gentle riverside trails with the atmospheric ruins of an old manor.
For something truly different, head west to the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark to enjoy forests, lakes and underground caverns.
Belfast’s maritime story is celebrated in the Titanic Quarter, where you can head to one of the UK’s best museums, the Titanic Belfast, while Derry’s well-preserved city walls tell of centuries gone by.
The vibrant arts scenes in both cities are thriving, with galleries, theatres and music festivals attracting visitors from around the world. Northern Ireland’s history is woven into its culture and can be found everywhere, from its world-class museums to its imposing architecture.
Whether you’re exploring great castles, enjoying traditional Irish music in a pub or taking in the fine views, Northern Ireland offers a unique experience.
For a different type of touring experience, you can also consider embarking on one of the best road trips in the UK too – it can provide a fantastic way of taking in stunning scenery.
