The racing gods graced us with glorious sunshine for our Coniston Sailing Club Open Regatta this year and, unusually, Coniston delivered one of those rare weekends where everything seemed to line up perfectly.

We had a solid turnout of eleven Musto Skiffs making the trip to Largs for a great weekend of racing hosted by Largs Sailing Club. It was a familiar northern fleet, with the usual suspects making the journey from around Scotland and the North East.

The 2000 Class has adopted the slogan ‘Fast, Family, Fun’ – on this Bank Holiday weekend blessed with beautiful sunshine but plagued with light winds two out of three wasn’t bad.

Corneille Leprince has been selected for the RYA British Sailing Youth Team. A breakthrough moment for diversity in sailing. His selection marks an important achievement for young people from disadvantaged and under-represented communities.

An extremely successful 2026 IRC European Championship took place during the International Paints Poole Regatta, on the south coast of the UK, over the May Bank Holiday weekend with high pressure bringing light winds and temperatures of up to 30°C.

Another impressive turnout of 88 boats took to the water for the 2026 Bosham Sailing Club Junior Regatta with prizes sponsored by Rooster.
