The LBYC and World Match Racing Tour today announced the dates for the 2026 Long Beach Yacht Club Congressional Cup and Ficker Cup, both official stages of the World Match Racing Tour, the longest running global professional sailing series.

The second day of the WASZP Pre-Games served up a classic British summer’s day as sailors launched beneath a blanket of grey cloud and with a hug of fresh drizzle.

The Craftinsure UK Wayfarer National Circuit – Eastern Area Championships returned to Medway Yacht Club for the first time since 2023 over the weekend, drawing a strong contingent of visitors and fleet front-runners from across the country.

Once again Oxford Sailing Club hosted the Contender class to allow them to iron out those boat handling, speed and tactical creases, that accumulate from the washing machine of club and open sailing.

The Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix takes place in Portsmouth on 19/20 July, with 20,000 fans expected to line the shore at Southsea Common to witness 12 national teams compete in identical foiling 50ft catamarans.

Llyn Tegid saw the Border Counties Midweek Sailing Tuesday club return for another great day of sailing on this large lake winds were predicted and they didn’t disappoint with a good breeze throughout the day.

The 2025 Rolex Middle Sea Race is scheduled to start on Saturday, 18 October. Yachts ranging in size from 9.75 to 22 metres (32 to 72 feet) have entered so far representing 14 nations, including Australia, Argentina, China and the United States.

This year it is the turn of Cove Sailing Club, Argyll to host the annual sailing regatta for the 64th Loch Long One Design Class.

Saturday 12th July, the Snipe open at Stone began with 28 boats competing. The event saw competitors from several countries and representation from 3 continents. In the spirit of keeping competitors on their toes, a club line was used for the starts.

A stellar weekend of champagne sailing for our first visit to Bridlington – the 2025 Dart 15 fleet Nationals sponsored by Noble Marine insurance really was a weekend to remember!
