Tate Kump, a 16-year-old local sailor, will take on an incredible challenge this Saturday, August 30th when he attempts a solo, non-stop sail in his ILCA dinghy around the Isle of Wight to raise money for Cancer Research.

After an intense 1,400 nautical mile race through the English Channel, the Bay of Biscay, a Fly-By in Portugal and the final push in the Mediterranean, Team Malizia secured valuable points with 5th place finish to see them 3rd on the overall ranking.

This event went extremely well with 15 races sailed in front of the clubhouse and with juniors outnumbering the more experienced sailors.

Fourteen D-Zeros took part in the Aberdeen and Stonehaven Yacht Club regatta over the weekend of the 16th and 17th of August and were rewarded with warm sunny weather, close racing and some excellent sailing conditions.
