“Wey-biza” turned it on for the WASZP fleet this summer. Across four days at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the 2026 WASZP UK Nationals served up warm sunshine and breeze in every flavour.

Ed Óg Butler and Quinten Lauwers achieved a top ten place in the highly competitive Fireball World Championship in Torbay, UK last week. Their scores included a third in the final race of the series.

A festive Parade of Nations along the Aarhus waterfront today officially marked the opening of the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth World Championship. Led by a marching band, all sailors paraded together while national flags from around the world waved in the breeze.

A stronger breeze from the east and a good flood tide the X boat fleet got away first time from the Royal Yacht Squadron line on a beat to Collete. Sadly there were some OCS boats.

North Sails Cowes Week has remained true to its roots over 199 years, and for most boats a single longer orienting race around the Solent each day remains the preferred option.

A short 3-mile drive downstream – or in the case of Upper Thames 1/2 mile tow from the club tender – found the fleet at Cookham Reach for the second day of our southern sojourn.

The wind and fun started before Cadet week proper even got under way with the serious young racers getting plenty of practice in on the previous Sunday. It was windy and challenging but with a broken mast to report on a Club boat, it was good practice.

In the past, load sensing has only been available to race teams and super-yachts, but with our latest technology combining precise and easy-to-install load sensors with a rig management system, load data can be accessed and used on any yacht.

Nearly two thousand race entries at Norfolk Broads Yacht Club made for an excellent Wroxham Week, with seven days of competition, glorious sunshine and a range of wind directions providing hugely enjoyable sailing.
