At 10:00 local time on Reunion Island, the two formidable duellists of this 2nd edition of the GLOBE40 are separated by only a few 0.3 miles, even though they are 820 miles from the finish line this morning in St. Paul Bay on the west coast of the island.

The Eastern Seaboard Youth Regatta kicked off at the Royal Varuna YC, marking an exciting start to the regatta season. With 140 boats representing 11 countries, sailors under 19 gathered to compete in one of the region’s most dynamic youth sailing events.

Despite the nearby named storm, the prospects looked promising for the final SORC race of the season on Saturday 25 October. Boats made their way to the start line in the Solent off Gurnard on a cold but sunny morning and a moderate breeze.

On this third day of the 29er EuroCup 2025 – The Finals — the first dedicated to the decisive races of the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Emerald fleets — three races were completed (two for the Emerald fleet), bringing the total to ten in three days.

Sadly neither Graham or Julia were able to race for ‘their trophy’ over the weekend; obviously a pity as there were twenty boats racing on Saturday and sixteen on Sunday.

This past weekend was Round 2 of the Series, and as usual, Saturday began in the central Solent, with sunshine and a crisp 12 knot NW’ly wind, the Race Team set up their start line to the East of Bramble bank at 4W Ancasta.
