The fourth event in the 2026 Craftinsure Vines Series took place on Saturday 16th May at Rickmansworth SC. The Troy Trophy was first presented in 1961, making this anniversary year for the Firefly class, the 65th year of the Rickmansworth Firefly open.

Stokes Bay Sailing Club hosted their first ILCA open meeting for several years and were rewarded with an entry of 33 boats.

After an opening day sailed in steady northwesterly conditions, the 2026 iQFOiL Open European Championships continued on Tuesday in Portimão, with the fleet returning to the waters off Praia da Rocha for the second day of competition.

The Streaker open meeting at Waveney & Oulton Broad YC (WOBYC) was a shifty and tactical affair! It counted towards the Streaker HD Sails Southern Paddle Series and the East Anglian Series and attracted a fleet of 17 boats including 10 visitors.

Racing on day 3 of the IOM World Championship started in a southerly with the course set in front of the Datchet clubhouse, before a heavy rain squall heralded a south westerly which was strong at times, but also had some much lighter patches.

The Hadron H2 fleet held its Inland Championships on 16th and 17th May which was graciously hosted by Queen Mary Sailing Club. Coming into the event light wind specialist Ian Dawson, a serial Inland Champion, was hot favourite.

With the class splits now published for the Handicap divisions at the 2026 Jura Scottish Series, the north of Britain’s premier regatta, teams now have a good idea of the level of competition they will encounter on Loch Fyne.

The Solo fleet will be visiting Llandegfedd Reservoir this weekend and someone will come away as the P&B Welsh champion and the current entry list suggests there could be a new name engraved onto the trophy.
