From 28-31 August, the 12-strong fleet of high-performance one-design owner-driver RC44s will compete for their 2025 World Championship title in the heart of Dutch sailing: Scheveningen, The Hague.

The Mirror Nationals is being held at Netley in just over a weeks’ time (28-30th August), sponsored by Hyde Sails, Winder Boats and Clamcleat. You may think of the Mirrors as a youth class, but in recent years the class has found a new niche.

Day 4 in Ostend brought even rougher conditions than the day before with the tide building quickly against the strong northerly breeze. This created steeper waves, making it tough for the small SB20s to drive through the chop.

The UK Optimist Class Association is offering free entry for all Coached Regatta Fleet sailors at this year’s Optimist End of Season Championships, taking place 4-5 October at Parkstone Yacht Club. Places are limited to 36 sailors.
