The Northern Tera sailors arrived on the 27th of September for a weekend of open training at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club. 13 eager sailors attended the weekend with stand in coach and Northern Class Rep John Reekie.

On and off the water, September 27, 2025, is not a date Georgia Clancy will easily forget.

The sunshine and the wind were in perfect harmony on Wednesday afternoon in the Gulf of St Tropez. At 2 pm all the Modern and Tradition fleets got some racing under their belts, revelling in their respective coastal courses.

After endless weeks of windy conditions and cancelled racing the September open offered up something more benign, with warm sunny days and light fickle N/NE winds.

We were split into two groups, the more experienced group of British Sailing Youth Team sailors being coached by Ben Harris with a weekend focused on racing and the two relatively new teams being looked after by Izzy Smith.

The 2025 Scottish Musto Skiff Nationals, also being the final Scottish and Northern Skiff event of the year, was held at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club’s annual regatta on 27th and 28th September, hosting 88 boats in total.

24 teams of regional sailors converged on Ripon SC on 20 & 21 September for the North Region Youth & Junior Team Racing Championships organised by North East & Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association (NEYYSA).
