A record 222 athletes from 40 nations will take to the water in Portimão as the World Sailing Inclusion Championships bring together leading sailors, established international competitors and a new generation of athletes from across the world.

Blessed by weather conditions that showcased the beautiful fleet of 253 boats gathered by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez for this wonderful festival of racing, the Maxi, Tradition and Modern yachts enjoyed an exceptional week.

The countdown is on to the Switch foiling dinghy flagship event of the season – the Global Championship. Racing will be held at the northern end of Lake Garda, based at Torbole, arguably the best foiling venue in the world.

Little wonder then that the H2 Class, with their strong thread of Merlin Rocket DNA courtesy of designer Keith Callaghan, have their own Travellers Series with this being one of the high spots for their racing year.

The Yacht Club Italiano 2027 Sports Calendar was presented today during the Genoa International Boat Show, outlining a season that will run from January to October with fifteen events and ten months of activity on the water.

The final places in the Medal Series were decided in a thrilling final day of qualifying at the Wingfoil Racing World Cup Sardinia, with 20 knots of steady breeze producing close racing at the front and drama right through the fleet.

The event is organised by Circolo Vela Gargnano under the authority of the Italian Sailing Federation, with the support of Regione Lombardia and with Alpe Adria del Garda as event partner.
