The best motorhome site in Devon
Yeatheridge Farm Caravan & Camping Park was voted the best motorhome site in Devon in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2026, as it took the Regional Winner’s title.
The campsite also took the title of the Best Site for Families, which highlights how well it caters to visitors of all age groups. This is thanks to its wide range of facilities, which include two heated indoor swimming pools, a games room, the Bull Pen Bar, and two fishing lakes (a rod licence is required), which are stocked with carp, tench, crucian carp, bream and rudd.
For children, the campsite provides two play parks, a playing field, a soft play area, and guests can also meet the resident farm animals.
Make the most of the campsite’s location in central Devon to take a day trip to Exeter, Bickleigh Castle, or Castle Drogo; alternatively, enjoy the two-and-a-half-mile walk around the campsite and take in the picturesque surroundings of Yeatheridge.
The site also offers a dog walk, a dog wash, an on-site shop, a modern toilet and shower block, a laundry and two washing up areas.

Sitting in the stunning setting of Dartmoor National Park, this four-acre site focuses on giving guests a relaxing getaway. Thanks to the site’s proximity to the A30, visitors are well situated for a variety of attractions across Devon, with Exeter and Castle Drogo among the nearby destinations.
The Two Moors Way is easy to reach from the park – or you can explore the delights of Dartmoor. Facilities include a shop, a dog exercise area, EV chargers, a laundry, showers, and free Wi-Fi. A bus stops at the campsite’s entrance as well.

Found in 60 acres of woodland and fields, Newberry Valley Park sits on the outskirts of Combe Martin and has plenty of wildlife stopping by, including badgers, buzzards, pheasants and deer. Don’t miss the campsite’s resident alpacas, either!
Explore the South West Coast Path and Exmoor, or stay on site and make the most of a two-acre fishing lake (a rod licence is required), wander through picturesque woodland, or book a visit to the site’s therapy room. Local meats and baked goods can be ordered at reception, as can pizza during the main season. Facilities include heated shower rooms and a laundry.

Its proximity to the A38 makes trips out easy to plan too. Guests can head to Miss Piggy’s Trough, the site’s dog-friendly bar and restaurant, where, during the high season, evening entertainment is held.

Family-owned for over 50 years, Parkland prioritises tranquillity; it’s adults-only and dogs are not allowed.
Instead, guests can enjoy the beauty of the hedgerow flowers and look out for the resident wildlife. Facilities include two heated amenity blocks, a shop, free Wi-Fi, an EV-charging point and a lounge with a lending library, TV and board games.
Every pitch has a picnic bench and 16-amp hook-up, while two new pitches with ensuite facilities are being added for late spring. Explore the South West Coast Path, visit Exeter and Salcombe, or catch a bus to Totnes from the stop at the site’s entrance.

This tranquil campsite sits on the banks of the River Tamar, and gives the freedom to explore both Devon and Cornwall. The site is a Certificated Location, and each of its five pitches is fully serviced and hardstanding.
Visitors have the use of a shower room and separate toilet, dishwashing and laundry facilities, and a shop. Enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding countryside by heading to the swing seat in the dog walk; you may well spot otters or kingfishers there.
Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor, Looe and Port Isaac are all near.

Nestled in 90 acres of parkland in Dartmoor National Park, River Dart is a campsite with something extra. That ‘extra’ is the park’s family attraction, entry for which is included in the price of your pitch.
The wide selection of activities on offer includes an adventure playground, an obstacle course, a commando assault course and a bike trail. Facilities include a modern amenities block, a shop stocked with essentials, a dog-walking area, tennis courts and The Old Sawmill restaurant. Bike hire is also available.
For trips out there’s Paignton Zoo, Exeter and Plymouth.

Found in 33 acres of parkland, Smytham Holiday Park works hard to support the environment and has won David Bellamy Conservation Awards. Pitch types include luxurious ensuite pitches, which have their own toilet, sink, shower and washing-up area.
Other facilities include EV charging points, an on-site shop, a dog wash, a play area and a games room. Bikes can be hired, while, during the main season, two heated outdoor swimming pools are open, as is the site’s family bar, Smythies.
For 2026, metered hook-up has been added. The Tarka Trail can be accessed from the site, and the South West Coast Path is nearby. Smytham Holliday Park also took the title of the best site for cycling in our 2026 Guide.

Providing stunning coastal views, this North Devon campsite has direct access to the South West Coast Path, as well as being well placed for Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Mortehoe and the Tarka Trail.
There’s fishing by the well-stocked lake, which holds carp, roach, rudd, and tench. Facilities include a 14-acre off-lead dog-walking field, a dog wash, a herb garden, an amenities block with underfloor heating, and a fully licensed shop. That’s not all, with a children’s play area and zip wire, and a book exchange.
During the high season food trucks stop by.

The campsite is only a short distance from the A30, making exploration of the surrounding area much simpler, with spots to visit including Plymouth and Exeter. The wonders of the natural world can also be explored in Dartmoor National Park – on foot, two wheels, or even horseback. Then there’s the South West Coast Path too.
