Landseer launches its first MAN TGE-based campervan and it’s seriously geared towards off-gridding

Landseer has launched its first-ever campervan based on a MAN TGE at this week’s Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show.

The NEC event is a great opportunity for those who are looking for the best campervan, with a variety of new launches on display from manufacturers and converters. In the case of the Landseer Artemis, it is a two berth (although a pop-top roof is an option) with two travel seats as standard and a transverse bed at the rear.

It’s seriously geared towards off-grid campervanning, as it comes with a 460Ah lithium battery as standard, as well as an inverter and a Victron inverter, battery charger and solar charger. Two Bluetooth speakers are hidden in the ceiling.

There’s a sideways facing seat up front, while the washroom includes a slide-out Trelino composting toilet and chevron tiling on the walls. Along with a mixer shower in here, there’s also an external shower with hot and cold water.

The kitchen features a real oak worktop, along with a 75-litre Dometic compressor fridge and a Sterling double induction hob.

There is also a huge variety of campervan storage options, including drawers in the step up to the settee, a selection of drawers under the bed, and even detachable pockets in the inside of the barn doors.

Landseer, based in Preston in Lancashire, is perhaps best known for converting Ford Transit Customs. Although it has also worked on other vehicles, including VW Transporters, this is the first time it has converted a MAN TGE.

The Artemis starts at £99,800. The optional Atek rising roof, including a bed and a mattress, costs a further £9,200.

The Landseer Artemis is not the only off-grid camper to debut at the NEC this week, with Onyx showcasing the Summit 2.0 as well. The campervan, which is also built on the MAN TGE, comes with a 480w off-grid solar setup, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, and also offers gasless cooking.

Joining it in making a first appearance at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show is the Aura 6EB, a VW-crafter based campervan which comes with a transverse bed.
