Vantage Motorhomes, perhaps best known for producing Fiat- and F0rd-based campervans of its own, has taken on a new string to its bow by becoming a dealer for Pilote.
The Leeds company, which, as well as being a dealer, is also viewed as one of the best campervan conversion companies in the UK, has just started a relationship with the French manufacturer this month.
Vantage already produces a range of high top vans based on a Fiat Ducato, including the Vantage Rio, as well as two rising roof campervans, the Vantage Luna and the Fuze.
Taking on Pilote will help it move into offering low-profiles like the Atlas 656D and the A690GJ (which we talk you through below), as well as A-classes, alongside Pilote’s own brand of Vega vans.
General manager Ben Dawes said, “We are incredibly proud to be appointed as an official Pilote dealer. Pilote is a brand with an outstanding heritage and a reputation for excellence that aligns perfectly with our own values.”
Vantage won two gold awards at the most recent Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025, and is a sister company of Signature Motorhomes in Preston.
It would not be the first time a manufacturer has taken on a dealer role as well. IH Motorhomes, based not a million miles away from Vantage in Knottingley near Leeds, is best known for its own brand of campervans. But it has in the past sold Pilote’s budget brand Joa Camp, and still sells used vans as well.
Pilote itself recently announced it was relaunching Joa Camp at the Scottish Motorhome, Caravan and Holiday Home Show. Joa by Pilote is designed to retain the brand’s identity while aligning it more closely with Pilote.
